Sixteen Tiny Ornaments
Crochet sixteen tiny Christmas ornaments from one sampler: a mitten, bell, star, tree, bauble, gift, candy cane, cocoa mug, stocking, snowflake, wreath, snowman, gingerbread man, reindeer, heart and holly. Each is a 12 x 14 stitch mini chart (about 2.4 x 2.5 in) worked in single crochet as a front and a plain back and joined with a hanging loop. One size. The finished-item picture is an illustration; colours are approximate. Charted motifs are built from whole stitches, so a made piece looks blockier and simpler than the picture.
Materials: DK weight cotton (category 3) in A Cream, B Red, C Green, D Gold and E Brown; 3.5 mm hook or size to match gauge; yarn needle; scissors; a little polyester stuffing (optional) and 16 short loops of yarn or ribbon. Yarn amounts are estimates: weigh your swatch.
Ornaments are decorations, not toys: hang them out of reach of babies and small children.
