What’s new in StitchWing 1.0.2

StitchWing 1.0.2 is here. Start from Home, try the new tools, and make a pattern ready to share.

New tools

  • On Home, choose Use photo, Crochet, Knit, Cross stitch or Blank grid to start. Your recent charts sit along the bottom; choose See all patterns for the full list.
  • Choose Portrait on Home to open Portrait Studio (All Access). Check the preview and colors before making your chart.
  • Select flat artwork and press Enhance in the side panel (All Access). Compare Before and After, adjust the light, shadows and highlights, then choose Apply to chart. One Undo puts it back.
  • Choose Tools › Close lines… or Chart › Close lines…. Pick Whole chart or Selection, check the Outline color and marked changes, then press Apply. It repairs small breaks without adding colors. Leave it keeps the chart unchanged.
  • Clip art needs a paid plan. Press Clip art on the tool rail in Simple or Advanced mode. Choose a design, or Import your own… to bring in a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG picture. Check its size and stitch preview before placing it.
  • Drag the zoom slider to make the chart or finished look larger or smaller.
  • Choose Hex or RGB beside a custom color value. Enter your value and press Enter. StitchWing remembers your choice; you can also change it in Settings › Editing › Color values.
  • Open Chart in the side panel, then Tidy rows and colors. Choose Gentle, Medium or Strong, check the preview, then press Apply or Leave it. Check small lettering before applying. One Undo puts it back.

Pattern maker

  • Open Pattern maker from Home and choose Dress, Overalls, Skirts or Zip-Up Hood Hoodie alongside the existing garments. The tool needs a paid plan; garments are Premium Templates bought separately inside the pattern maker. Choose a garment to see its preview and purchase options. The hooded Cardigan remains Coming soon.
  • Draw on the chart the way the garment is worn: the top stays at the top, and upright lettering stays upright on the finished piece. Check the finished-garment preview and make a gauge swatch before stitching.
  • In Print / Export, choose every size to make one combined pattern. It shares sizing, matching charts and written rows, with each size’s numbers together. Choose Just my size for a single size.

Print & Export

  • Open Print / Export for a large page preview. Under What to export, choose Graph (chart), Written pattern or Graph + written pattern. Set Pattern size and Page setup; open More options & styling for the other choices. Choose Cancel to stop a large export while it prepares.

Easier every day

  • Press Save on a new chart and choose its name and folder. Cancel saves nothing. Later Saves update the same file. A recovery copy helps after an interruption; use Save to keep the pattern.
  • Own It includes the photo tools: Just one thing, Line drawing, Sharpen small artwork, Remove something, Select a thing and reading a chart photo’s key names. Connect to the internet, then close and reopen StitchWing to refresh your plan.

How to update

  • Open StitchWing and accept the offered update, or download the installer from the Download page. Save your work and close StitchWing before installing.
