Turkey Place Card Set

Crochet eight standing turkey place cards for the Thanksgiving table. Each has its own fan of feathers and a name plate where you type your guest's name in the app, up to seven letters (fewer if the name has wide letters such as M, N or W), before you print. One size, about 7.2 x 4.7 in each, each with a plain back and a card stiffener; they stand in a small place-card holder or lean against a glass. The picture shows four of the eight cards. The finished-item picture is an illustration; colours are approximate. Charted motifs are built from whole stitches, so a made piece looks blockier and simpler than the picture.

Materials: DK weight cotton (category 3) in A Cream, B Cocoa, C Rust, D Gold and E Olive; 3.5 mm hook or size to match gauge; yarn needle; scissors; ruler; thin card or plastic canvas for the eight stiffeners, cut 6.6 x 4.2 in; a small place-card holder or clip for each card.
