StitchWing won’t install or open
What to do when Windows warns about the installer, or StitchWing doesn’t start.
"Windows protected your PC"
See Download and install on Windows.
Check your Windows version
StitchWing needs Windows 10 (version 22H2) or Windows 11. On a Mac it needs macOS 13 Ventura or newer: see Download and install on a Mac. It doesn't run on a phone or a Chromebook, and iPad version coming soon.
The installer stops during setup
The first install takes an extra minute to finish setting up. Stay online and let it finish. If setup fails, connect to the internet and run the installer again. If it still stops, contact us with the exact message.
The installer can't write to the folder
The installer puts StitchWing in your own account and needs no administrator password. If you chose a different folder under Install options and Windows won't let StitchWing write there, pick a folder in your own account instead.
StitchWing doesn't start
- Restart your PC and try again from the Start menu.
- Run the installer again and choose Reinstall. Your patterns aren't touched.
- Still nothing? Email support@stitchwing.com with your Windows version and what you see (a screenshot helps).
