Start from your templates

Size templates you own are listed under Templates on the start screen: pick one, pick a size, and the blank chart opens.

Your templates on the start screen

Size templates are blank charts at set stitch counts: blankets from crib to king, scarves, and pillows, wall hangings and back panels. They are sold as size packs in the Template Store. Once you have one, it's listed under Templates in the list down the left side of the start screen, and Templates opens Your templates with all of them. If you don't have any, Templates isn't there.

  1. Select a template, for example Blankets, in that list or in Your templates.
  2. Choose the stitch: Single crochet (sc) or Half double crochet (hdc). With UK terms these read Double crochet (dc) and Half treble crochet (htr).
  3. Select a size. The blank chart opens at exactly that many stitches across and rows, ready to draw on.

Each size shows its real shape in the stitch you chose: hdc sizes stand taller than sc. The size you used last has an outline.

Again

Once you've used a template, its tile has an Again button, for example Again: 150 × 200 hdc. One click makes another chart at that size and stitch.

Other ways in

  • File › New from your template › lists your templates. It isn't there if you don't have any.
  • Press Ctrl+K and type New from template.

The finished size depends on your yarn, hook and tension, so work a swatch first.
