Track your place in a chart

Mark worked rows, move through the row list with the keyboard, and Undo or Redo progress.

Start tracking

Press Track progress beside your chart. Chart tracking comes with paid plans and supported row-based crafts. Choose how you will work if asked. While tracking is on, design editing is locked; turn tracking off to change the chart.

Next marks the current worked row complete and moves on. Back moves your place without undoing completed work. Clicking a row in the list or chart is navigation only: it does not mark the row complete.

Undo and Redo progress

The Undo and Redo buttons beside the tracking controls undo and redo progress changes. Their accessible names are Undo progress and Redo progress. While tracking is active, the usual Undo and Redo shortcuts act on progress rather than the design: Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y on Windows, Command+Z and Command+Shift+Z on a Mac. Typing in a field still uses that field's own keys.

To undo a design edit, leave tracking first. Back is for navigation; use Undo for a mistaken progress change.

Use the row list with a keyboard

  1. Tab to the tracking row list.
  2. Up and Down move the focus through its rows. Home and End move to the first and last row.
  3. Enter or Space jumps to the focused row without marking it finished.

The list describes the current row and completed rows, and shows keyboard focus. Tab to a button and Enter or Space activates that button without also advancing progress. With the chart's tracking surface focused, forward arrows, Page Down or Space advance; backward arrows or Page Up move back. While read aloud is running, it handles Space. See Read rows aloud.

After chart edits

Turn tracking off before editing the chart. Check your progress after changing the chart. Some changes, including resizing C2C or turning the chart, reset tracking and show a message. Undo restores the chart and your tracking together.

Peyote beads

In peyote, only the alternating bead columns of the current worked row are highlighted.
