Add rows and columns
Add blank space on any chart edge, several rows or columns at once, with a preview before you add.
Add blank space at the edges
Choose Chart › Add rows and columns…, or search for Add rows and columns… in the command palette (Ctrl+K on PC, Command+K on Mac).
Enter how many to add at Top, Bottom, Left and Right. Each starts at zero; you can add on several edges at once. The chart previews the blank margins while the dialog is open. New size shows the resulting width and height in your craft's units, with an approximate finished size when your chart has a stitch size or gauge.
Press Add or Enter to apply everything together. Your artwork moves with the added space at Top and Left, and one Undo restores the whole change. Cancel or Escape leaves the chart as it was. The free version's chart-size limit still applies: up to 100 × 100.
Add beside a particular cell
Right-click a cell, or long-press it on a touch screen, and choose Add Row Above This, Add Row Below This, Add Column Left of This or Add Column Right of This. These items are on the cell menu by default; if you customized your menu, use Customize menu… to add them.
The red boundary line shows where the insertion will go when you point to an item or focus it with the keyboard or touch. Choose the item, enter how many to add, then press Insert. This adds space beside the cell you clicked and shifts the artwork beyond that boundary.
